Ordered a Mala Spicy Grilled sea bass (small order). The serving size was generous enough to feed two adult diners. Wait time was about 10min for the food to be brought to the table after placing the order. The service staffs were attentive and provide good service. The restaurant smell like the kitchen and I walked out smelling like the fish I had. It will be great if the restaurant can improve the ventilation system.
Very good China food in Yishun. Their grilled fish is superb as well as value for money. Repeated visits for me and my family and kept coming back. Good service and good ambience too. Highly recommend for China food cravings in the north.
Had dinner there food tastes great and atmosphere a little stuffy
Nice restaurant with tasty mala dishes, open till 5am in the morning. Wide selection of classic mala dishes from grilled fish to fried rice. Very fast service. Friendly prices and good portion sizes.
Newly renovated place but ventilation is fair, so one will come out smelling like the food. Food wise - we like the malaxiangguo. Can order non spicy for kids too. We ordered a tomato egg soup large and it was too much for 4 of us. Soup was not tasty. Ordered a jug of barley and it was good, like homemade barley.
57˚ Mala Xiang Guo @ Wisteria Mall is a good spot for dinner, especially if you enjoy grilled fish – it’s excellent. Service is quick and prices are reasonable. They also offer mala xiang guo on the side, though it’s fairly average. Do note that the smell tends to cling to your clothes after dining, so go if you don’t mind that.
It’s usually full house during dinner time. Try to call for waiting list or reservation to avoid disappointment. It’s our third visit and the portion are always so generous, definitely very for money and so far all the dishes has been pretty good and haven’t disappoint us. The cabbage was too oily, almost immersed in oil lol, but still tasty. The Spicy Oil Fish was really huge in portion for like $15? Wanted to try the Mala hotpot but I saw a super huge housefly flying around it and the staff didn’t even bother to get rid of it, soooo… we skipped that. All in all, should come in 4 pax to share the dishes!
